On 3 August 2016, the aircraft carrying 282 passengers and 18 crew crashed while landing at Dubai International Airport. All 300 people on board survived the accident; 32 were injured, 4 were seriously injured.The Emirates fleet is composed of two wide-bodied aircraft families, the Airbus A380 and Boeing 777. The airline also has the Airbus A350-900, Boeing 777X and Boeing 787-9 aircraft on order.

The Beluga Airbus

The Beluga took its first flight in 1994. The Beluga has the largest cargo volume of any aircraft in the world. A newer version is scheduled for production. The Airbus Beluga was complicated to build. It has an astronomical weight when fully loaded. Airbus uses Beluga aircraft for transporting large assembled sections of the fuselage and wings of aircraft." The A300-600ST is derived from the A300-600R wide-bodied medium and long range airliner.
