INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

WHEN?

The international relation's epicentre is the United Nations and a small paragraph on the home page talks about America's contribution to the organization. The organization was founded on the 24th October, 1945. It was created to prevent another world war. According to the UN, the likely hood of another world war is very slim but Russia and the United States do not like each other and both carry more than 200 nuclear weapons. But both countries along with China, The UK and France signed a treaty saying the will NOT use nuclear weapons and will slowly destroy their current stockpile.

WHY?

The UN was founded on the 24th of October 1945 after the second world war to prevent another deadly conflict. Fifty countries signed a treaty and joined the UN. The headquarters are in New York and now 193 members follow the rules of the UN. Countries like Morocco and Western Sahara have NOT joined because they are fighting each other and other small UN nations. Now in the 21st century, the UN is promoting peace especially in the Middle East and they also protect human rights and have set up hospitals in war-torn countries.
