The equipment you need for your horse is:

• A saddle (the thing you sit on)
• A bridle (The part that is on the horses face)
• A numnah (the rectangular piece of material that goes under the saddle to stop it rubbing)
• polo raps if you need to protect their legs
• stirrup irons (the part you put your foot in) and stirrup leathers (the part you use to attach the irons to the saddle)
• and a girth do keep the saddle from slipping

• a helmet
• if you want to do cross country you need a back protecter
• gloves
• and a crop if you ride a lazy horse
